The basics
What B2B link building is, and how it differs from B2C
Link building is earning links from other websites to yours. Search engines read them as a sign that others vouch for you. In B2B, where they come from matters far more than how many there are.
Consumer digital PR chases national headlines with surveys and stunts. That rarely works for a company selling payroll software or industrial valves. B2B link building targets a much smaller set of sites: trade magazines, industry associations, partners, integration directories and the specialist blogs your buyers read. A single link from the leading journal in your sector can be worth more than fifty from general news sites, both for rankings and for the buyers who see it. See B2B SEO vs B2C SEO for the broader picture.
How we earn links, and what we refuse to do
| We do | We do not |
|---|---|
| Digital PR built on your own data or research | Buy links or pay for placements |
| Expert comment from your people to journalists | Use private blog networks |
| Partner, supplier and integration links you have already earned but never claimed | Mass guest posts on unrelated sites |
| Resources worth citing: benchmarks, calculators, glossaries | Exact-match anchor text schemes |
Digital PR services and link building overlap but are not the same. Digital PR is the method: creating something newsworthy and pitching it. Links are one outcome, alongside brand mentions that AI assistants also draw on. We report both.
What's included
What our link building services include
Included from the Growth package up, or scoped as a standalone campaign.
Link gap analysis
Which sites link to the competitors that outrank you, and which of those you could realistically earn.
Digital PR campaigns
A data study or expert-led story built from your own numbers and pitched to named trade journalists.
Expert comment
Your specialists put forward for journalist requests in your field, with quotes drafted for approval.
Unclaimed links
Partners, suppliers, integrations, memberships and unlinked brand mentions turned into links.
Linkable resources
Benchmarks, calculators and glossaries designed to be cited, hosted on your site.
Transparent reporting
Every link listed with its URL and the page it points to. No hidden networks, no vague “authority” scores alone.
Where do your competitors get their links?
The free audit shows the gap and the three link sources you are most likely to win.
Process
How a link building campaign runs
The five steps, with the link gap analysis forming part of the baseline.
- 1
Free audit
A 20-minute review of your site, your competitors and your buyers' search terms. You get three specific opportunities.
- 2
Pipeline baseline
We connect Search Console, GA4 and your CRM and record where organic leads, opportunities and revenue stand today.
- 3
Strategy and intent map
Every keyword is assigned to a buying stage and a page. You approve the 90-day plan before any work starts.
- 4
Build and publish
Technical fixes, new and rewritten pages, digital PR. Work ships every month, in your CMS or as developer tickets.
- 5
Report and reallocate
A monthly pipeline report and a review call. What produces opportunities gets more budget; what does not gets cut.
Proof
How we measure pipeline from organic search
We are a new agency and have no client case study we are allowed to publish yet. So instead of a borrowed success story, here is exactly how results will be measured on your account, and what a published case study will contain once a client approves one.
Measurement method, not a case studyThe format every future case study follows is on the case studies page: client context, the constraint, what we did, real metrics with dates, and what we would do differently.

| Positions for the agreed keyword set | Rank tracking, weekly | Progress on the terms in your intent map, not vanity terms |
| Leads from organic search | GA4 key events, after consent | Demo requests, trial sign-ups and enquiries that started in search |
| Sales-qualified opportunities | Your CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce or similar) | Which of those leads your sales team accepted |
| Pipeline value and closed revenue | Your CRM, matched on lead source | What organic search is worth in pounds, the number the board asks for |
| Mentions in AI answers | Monthly prompt checks in ChatGPT, Perplexity and AI Overviews | Whether you are cited when buyers ask an assistant instead of Google |

Who this is for
Who B2B link building is for
Links are the right investment once the pages they point to deserve to rank.
A good fit
- B2B sites with solid pages that sit on page two behind better-linked competitors
- Companies with data, research or experts worth quoting
- SaaS firms with integration and partner relationships to draw on
- Brands that want to be named in AI answers as well as search results
Probably not a fit
- Sites with thin or missing money pages: fix those first
- Anyone wanting a fixed number of links a month at a fixed price each
- Businesses comfortable with paid or networked links

FAQ
Link building: questions buyers ask
Link building and digital PR are included from our Growth package, from £3,000/month, alongside the technical and content work links depend on. Standalone campaigns are quoted after the audit. We do not sell links at a price per link. See pricing.
Digital PR is a way of earning links: you create something newsworthy, such as original data or expert insight, and pitch it to journalists. Link building is the wider goal and also includes partner links, resource pages and reclaiming unlinked mentions.
Not at present. We work directly with B2B companies, and alongside their other agencies in the open. If you are an agency looking for a white label SEO partner, we are not the right fit today.
We do not promise a number, because earned links depend on journalists and editors we do not control. We commit to the campaigns and outreach in the plan and report every link and mention that results. Be wary of anyone who guarantees a fixed count: that usually means the links are bought.
No. Nobody controls Google's results, and an agency that guarantees a position is either targeting terms nobody searches or not telling you the truth. What we commit to is the work in the plan, the reporting, and a contract you can leave with 30 days' notice if the numbers do not move.
Plan for three to six months before organic leads rise in a way your sales team notices, and six to twelve months for meaningful pipeline. Technical fixes and rewritten money pages can move sooner. New content on a site with little authority takes longer. We set the expected timeline for your site in the 90-day plan and do not promise a date we cannot control.
Buyers now ask ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews for supplier shortlists. Being cited there depends on the same foundations as SEO, plus clear entity information, quotable facts and mentions on the sites these systems draw from. AI-search visibility (GEO) checks are included from the Growth package up.
