The sector
B2B fintech SEO, and how it differs from consumer finance
Fintech sits in the category search engines treat most strictly: content that can affect someone's money. Pages need demonstrable expertise and accuracy to rank, and regulatory approval to exist at all.
Consumer finance SEO competes on rates, comparison tables and huge volumes. B2B fintech has a different buyer: a finance director choosing a payments provider, a bank selecting a compliance platform, a lender evaluating an origination system. Volumes are small, contracts are large, and the buyer's own regulator is looking over their shoulder.
Buying cycle
The fintech buying cycle: due diligence dominates
A business buying financial technology is taking on operational and regulatory risk, so evaluation is heavy on due diligence. After an initial shortlist, expect information-security questionnaires, checks on your regulatory permissions and financial standing, legal review of liability and data terms, and often a pilot. Regulated buyers must also satisfy their own outsourcing and third-party risk rules.
Cycles of six to twelve months are common for anything touching payments flows or customer data. Content therefore has to serve the commercial buyer early and the risk, compliance and security reviewers later.
Search behaviour
How fintech buyers search
- By regulation. A new rule or deadline creates searches before products exist for it: buyers look for what the rule requires, then for who can help.
- By use case and sector. “Payment processing for marketplaces”, “KYC for crypto exchanges”, “embedded lending for SaaS platforms”.
- By technical fit. API documentation, sandbox access, supported schemes and settlement times are searched by developers and product managers.
- By trust. Your name plus “regulated”, “FCA”, “safeguarding” or “reviews”: due-diligence searches that your own pages should answer.
Compliance constraints
Compliance constraints on fintech content
This is the sector where content rules bite hardest, and where an agency unfamiliar with them is a liability.
- Financial promotions. In the UK, communications that invite or induce someone to engage in investment activity are restricted under section 21 of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000. They must be communicated or approved by an appropriately authorised firm unless an exemption applies. A blog post can be a financial promotion.
- Fair, clear and not misleading. The FCA expects promotions to meet this standard, with balanced mention of risks. Your compliance team decides what that means for each page; we build their review into the workflow.
- Accurate regulatory status. How you describe your permissions, registration or agent status must match the FCA register exactly.
- Demonstrable expertise. Named, qualified authors and reviewers, sources and review dates are both a ranking requirement in this category and good compliance practice.
- US differences. Selling into the US brings different federal and state regimes. US pages need their own review, not a spelling change.

Proof
How we measure pipeline from organic search
We are a new agency and have no client case study we are allowed to publish yet. So instead of a borrowed success story, here is exactly how results will be measured on your account, and what a published case study will contain once a client approves one.
Measurement method, not a case studyThe format every future case study follows is on the case studies page: client context, the constraint, what we did, real metrics with dates, and what we would do differently.

FAQ
SEO for fintech: questions buyers ask
No. Nothing we write goes live without sign-off from your compliance function or an authorised approver. We are not a regulated firm and do not approve financial promotions ourselves.
Two reasons. Search engines hold content about money to a higher standard of expertise and accuracy, so thin or anonymous pages do not rank. And regulation limits what can be said and how quickly it can be published. Both reward a slower, more careful process.
With named authors and reviewers who hold relevant experience, references to primary sources such as the regulator's own guidance, clear dates for when a page was last reviewed, and accurate statements of your regulatory status.
Plan for three to six months before organic leads rise in a way your sales team notices, and six to twelve months for meaningful pipeline. Technical fixes and rewritten money pages can move sooner. New content on a site with little authority takes longer. We set the expected timeline for your site in the 90-day plan and do not promise a date we cannot control.
Our monthly SEO packages start from £1,500/month (Foundation), £3,000/month (Growth) and £5,500/month (Scale). Every price and what it includes is on the pricing page. There is no setup fee.
